Envious Green Eye Shadows
13 March 2008
I dare you to go green with your eyes this Saint Patrick’s Day. And I don’t mean colored contacts. I’m talking about eye shadow. Yes, green eye shadow. Are some of you cringing? Stop. I promise it will be okay. You can Something I must mention before we go any further is that you should not match your clothing to your eye shadow. Tsk, tsk! But, you can cheat this rule by using two different hues of one color.
If you’re a teeny bit afraid of green, but still want to try it (and rightly so!) you can get an
inexpensive green color from Hard Candy at Sephora. They offer their Hard Candy Eye Candy in two green shades: Sour Apple, and Spearmint. ($12.50 each)If you can work out your pesky commitment issues with green eyeshadow then stay at Sephora and try a Stila Eye Shadow Duo. You can get a combination of lime green and chocolate brown (Fandango), or light green and dark green (Sea Foam). ($20.00)
Clinique at Macy’s has Colour Surge Eye Shadow Soft Shimmer in Keylime Pie. ($14.00) It’s a soft green that you can wear throughout the spring and summer for a nice burst of color. Posted by Mirela at 02:19 PM BEAUTY , Expert Advice | Trackback | Print This Post Leave a Reply

Saint Patrick’s Day conjures up the idea of one color, and if you guessed ‘red’ - then I don’t think I can help you. The color, of course, is green. It is the color of grass, money, and the color bread turns if you don’t clean out your pantry. It makes sense, to me, that you might want to embrace the color for the holiday. In middle school, we would put little green clover stickers near the corner of our eyes. That idea doesn’t sound so cute now. We’ve upgraded from our trapper-keepers, and we’ve also upgraded our ideas of being festive for holiday’s.
have fun with this. People might stare, but only in a good way. There is no age limit for this, any age can play with this look. And yes, this includes women over 40. If you have a daughter, steal (or share) her products!
